Raving About Rao’s – An Exclusive New York City Dining Experience

There aren’t too many New York culinary institutions I haven’t been to. Since I moved to NYC in 2015, exploring and discovering New York City’s finest dining destinations has been a favorite past time of mine. I’ve established a policy where I try not to eat at the same place twice. The reason? There are just too many amazing options to consider and I’m trying to get to as many as I possibly can! But last night was a little bit of a different story.

All Aboard – A Little Mangia Outside of Manhattan

Sometimes you have to step outside of your comfort zone and be spontaneous to discover some of the greatest things life has to offer – or at least some of the greatest things New York has to offer.

With this weekend (Valentine’s Weekend) being one of the coldest in record history, I could only think of one way to keep warm – eating, of course! A staunch lover of all things Italian, naturally I wanted pizza and pasta to get me through these cold winter days (what’s new?). I had heard of a little known place just north of Manhattan, in New York’s most northern borough, the Bronx, and while tons of options exist in the City, I decided to be a bit adventurous and explore one of New York’s oldest and greatest well-kept secrets,  Arthur Avenue. 

The Pizza Princess Visits The Pizza King – A Day at DiFara’s in Brooklyn

Pizza – the famously delish diet staple for all New Yorkers, born and brought, alike. Whether you’re out for a full pie, or just a plain slice, pizza brings people together, regardless of your choice of toppings. You can eat it any time of day, any type of way, and I’d even go as far as saying it’s the (unofficial) grub of Gotham. Characterized by its round, thin crust (usually well-done), sweet sauce and very particularly placed mozzarella cheese, this food favorite originated in the Big Apple in the early 1900’s.
